Leadership in Environmental Health

 We coordinate this course unit under the Bachelor of Environmental Health Science which is housed in department of Disease Control and Environmental Health.

Aim

i) To improve the leadership skills of students graduating from the Bachelor of Environmental Health Science programme.

ii) To improve the delivery of environmental health services to communities.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

i)   Apply factors which motivate people to perform their duties

ii)   Decide when, how, why and whom to delegate authority and responsibility

iii)  Choose the style of supervision that suits the team and working environment

iv) Appreciate the role of leadership qualities and political involvement in promoting environmental health.
